The Junior League of Victoria is proud to present their inaugural Touch-A-Truck fundraising event to the Crossroads area. This free community event will allow children young and old to get up close and personal with their favorite vehicles: exploring the insides of emergency cars and trucks, construction equipment and more! Emergency services, city staff, and local businesses will have the opportunity to engage face-to-face with the community they serve. All proceeds from this event will directly support the community through the Junior League of Victoria’s Community Assistance Funds (CAF). CAF grants are awarded annually to Victoria non-profit organizations that promote efforts to ensure that children and families have the opportunities necessary for physical, intellectual, emotional, mental and economic well-being, as well as social growth. Recent year’s grants have supported Boys and Girls Club of Victoria, Foster Parents of Victoria, Crossroads Business Education Connection, Perpetual Help Home, The Gabriel Project, The Humility Project, Leo J. Welder Center, Victoria ISD Education Foundation, and Gulf Bend Center, with over $13,000 going back into the community over the past three years. We look forward to continuing and expanding this tradition of giving back to the Victoria community.
